I’ve created a morning routine that keeps me energized, focused, and ready to handle my packed schedule. Here’s exactly what I do.
1. Wake Up by 6:45 AM — With Two Alarms
I use two alarms on my phone. The first one goes off at 6:45 AM — I call it my “you deserve 5 more minutes” alarm. It gives me time to wake up slowly without rushing.
The second one, my real wake-up alarm, goes off five minutes later. That’s when I actually get out of bed and begin my routine by thinking my favorite phrase: “Discipline beats talent and intelligence.” This little system helps me start the day without feeling jolted or anxious.
2. Lemon Water + Stretch
Hydration first, then a light stretch to wake up my body.
I use this water bottle.
3. Journaling + Gratitude
I write 3 things I’m grateful for + 1 intention. It keeps my mind calm and centered.
I love The Five Minute Journal for quick, meaningful reflection.
4. Review My Top 3 Priorities
I glance at my Notion dashboard and choose my top 3 focus items for the day. Then I add them to my phone’s Reminders app so they show up on my lock screen — using the Reminders widget I already have set up.

5. Setting My Positive Motivated Mood: Phone-Free Until Work
When I’m ready to leave for work, before hitting the road, I play my positive and motivated playlist to boost my mood and mindset.
